If
YOU ONLY KNEW how this has fueled me on to get my Degree in
Microcomputer Specialist. I started late in life to complete my
education at age 46 and being an African American Male has been rough
over the years, but I WILL make it. Thanks to you, Brother!!!!!!. I'd just like to offer my encouragement and gratitude
to you for not only recognizing the importance of an informed society,
but doing something about it. Yours in Brotherhood – Richard.
Thanks for the example you are setting for us. The AJC story on Sunday
served as the quality time-sharing for my kids as we read and talked
about your vision for the web page. It, "Kenyada," has been
added under our favorite places. Please keep it going! Mr.
Kenyada, your website is the most inspiring I have ever viewed on my
screen. Keep up the good work and may the Lord bless you. I have told so
many of my friends about your website. Read
about your site in the Hurray for Mister Kenyada and all those who support
him and his philosophy. His insight and dedication to the
African-American community is greatly appreciated, I only wish we had
more like him to make a difference. My daughter was one of the
recipients of his "computers to the people" and it has made a
significant impact in her life and her families'. It has opened up a
whole world for all of us. The only problem now is everyone in the house
wants to use it at the same time, even her father who is totally
computer illiterate, now uses it to tap into the web. WE LOVE IT AND
YOU, MR. KENYADA!!!! Excellent
job being done for our children/If the connection can be made with our
children in I
think this is FANTASTIC!!!! It's high time that someone took the time to
show an interest in the welfare of the black community. Keep up the good
work. Mr.
Kenyada, I read your article in the AJC. The information in the article
confirmed some of my thoughts of the computer literacy level of our
folk. From my first hand survey your reports are pretty accurate. I
usually ask my clients are they on the net. You know the answer. Your
article is timely because I am sure it is going to wake up a few folks.
Sometimes it takes pioneers such as yourself to bring us into reality.
Keep up the good work! Mr.
Kenyada, I heard about you through a recent article in the Atlanta
Journal/Constitution, which provided information on a recent study
showing the disparity in computer and Internet access among African
Americans. I'm glad to know your site exists. I will want to get in
touch with you regarding a proposal to establish a community technology
center in Hi! I found your WEB SITE address on the Asahi
Evening this morning. I have been interested in African-Americans. Mr.
Richard Kenyada, I want to know more about African- Americans in the This is my first time logging on. I've heard alot of
good things, therefore, I'm looking forward to being a part of it. God
Bless! ...Well, this is my second visit today!! And, yes, I
am at work -- recent to Atl from Phl -- on the rumor of all the positive
things going on here -- as an IT person myself, your website, the
content, the look and feel is one of the most positive I've encountered
so far -- Keep up the very fine work I
just started checking this web site out. So far I'm liking it a lot. We
need more organizations such as this one today. The idea for getting the
youth more and more involved in computers is a beautiful thing. All of
you are to be commended. I will be coming back to this site to see what
other interesting things you're doing to help the children in the
community to be inspired to do more with PC's in their everyday life.
Hats Off To You!!!!! This
is a great program! Our school has a technology night, it will be
January 11 at Your
organization is truly an inspiration for those of our community. This
revolution may not be televised ... but you are getting the word to the
masses in this new medium of communication. I wish you the best ..... Our
hero - Yes you all are. Hats off to the energy, compassion, love and
most of all the willingness to surrender and serve. God will continue to
bless you for being obedient. I
really enjoyed learning more about your organization. It is unique in a
sense that it is using computers to bridge the gap. I hope to hear and
learn more about your organization in the very near future I
heard about your website during your guest appearance on the 107.5 F.M.,
Sunday a.m., talk show, this morning. I had to check it out. Based upon
what I found, I'm glad I did! This
is the first time hearing about your website. It was mentioned in the
Atlanta Constitution today and I became curious. I agree with you 100%
regarding our people perceptions. We must convey the message throughout
our communities/environments that being able to access and process
information globally from the home will be another utility. The computer
will be the vehicle. The saying, "It takes a village.....". is
absolutely true. We must all offer support. …..I will be more than
happy to volunteer my time and assist in any way possible. KEEP UP THE
GOOD WORK!!!!!!! I
am most grateful to see African Americans doing such positive things in
the community, especially the cyber-community. Keep up the good work and
stay positive. I
am new viewer to your site. What caught my eye initially was your Core
Values. The part about, we will not fight fire with fire, but we will
fight fire with water and to build rather than destroy; to listen as
intently and purposefully as we speak, etc. MY SENTIMENTS, LOUD AND
CLEAR. I also believe that each one of us has a responsibility to do
something. (Each 1 Teach 1) Be it volunteering or just in our own
neighborhoods. Form cleanup crews, if that is what's needed. Whatever
needs to be done. We don't have to wait until the government decides to
throw us some crumbs before we react. We should all be focusing on the
same thing and that's to ensure that when our children take our place,
that they will be well equipped with the knowledge and support that they
will need to be successful. I will now go back and check out the rest of
your site. Thank you and continued success to you and your site. Hi,
Mr. Kenyada, I received your website address from a friend and how bless
we are today. We as African-American have the power through knowledge
and I thank GOD for you sharing this knowledge. I salute you in your
endeavors and may GOD bless, lead and guide you all the way. Thanks.... Mr.
Kenyada I am so thankful for your site. My brother called me last night
because of information you had that would benefit my students interested
in computer technology. He found you by accident. Thank you again. Freedom
to all! Hotep.
This is a blessing for our youth. We must educate ourselves.
"Education is the passport to the future for those that prepare for
it today." Malcolm X ……Keep on striving. I
reviewed your site after reading the AJC. It is truly a well-organized
website. Since I teach computer desktop application classes, my initial
interest was on your computer literacy article. If you ever need someone
to conduct a free training class let me know. Richard,
I would like to commend you on seeing your vision come to reality. You had
a dream about this site and now many share your dream. Keep up the good
work and God Bless You.
